Tasting notes
Signorello are starting to keep back stock; 2014 is the current vintage. 2012 will be launched in the UK in 2019 to make a splash. Very heady with some aromatic evolution. Lots of fine tannins and lacy embroidery of textures and flavours on top. Very dry finish. Lifted and racy. Delicate hand with the extraction. Aromatic in a Cab Franc sort of way. Fine grippy tannins and some sweetness and saltiness that’s almost like treacle toffee. (JR)

Blended of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc, the 2012 Padrone is very deep garnet in color and showing the opening signs of evolved fruit character—incense, exotic spices, new leather and pencil lead—over a core of crème de cassis, preserved red plums, kirsch and potpourri plus wafts of bay leaves and dusty soil. Full, rich, plush and seductive in the mouth with loads of red fruit and herbal sparks, it finishes long and earthy.
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Padrone is dark and sumptuous from start to finish. Mocha, plums, smoke, new leather and French oak all flesh out in this brooding, intense Cabernet Sauvignon. The style is explosive and full of 2012 vintage exuberance. There is a lot to look forward to.
