It's full-bodied, velvety in texture and even a bit fudge-like, but within that rich, oaky idiom, it works.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Louis Bovet is packed with super-ripe black fruit, mocha, spice, licorice and chocolate. A rich, sumptuous wine, the Louis Bovet shows the more flamboyant side of the vintage. It is an opulent wine to be sure, but all the elements are so well balanced. The 2019 feels just a bit pushed.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Louis Bovet comes from the Home Ranch, near the Georges III Vineyard in Rutherford. This is reserve serious, offering beautiful notes of menthol, plums, blueberries, new leather, and dark chocolate followed by a medium to full-bodied, concentrated red with ripe tannins, good acidity. and freshness. This is one gorgeous, classy, and elegant Cab.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Louis Bovet is dark, fleshy and super-expressive. Supple and yet structured, the 2019 is a gorgeous Rutherford Cabernet in the making. It clearly benefits from the lower yields and a bit more depth relative to the 2018.
