Tasting notes
I loved the 2017 Blueline Cabernet Franc. This head-turner boasts a deep purple color, classy notes of cassis, liquid violets, and wet stone-like minerality, medium to full body, and a ripe, surprisingly powerful style. The backbone of this cuvée comes from clone 1 of Cabernet Franc and vines planted in 1991. The final blend is 88% Cabernet Franc, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot that spent 17 months in 66% new French oak.

The 2017 Cabernet Franc is another very pretty and expressive wine in this range. Floral and savory varietal flavors give the Franc striking layers of complexity. Grilled herbs, mint, red cherry, blood orange and espresso are all very nicely delineated in a classy, polished wine that delivers the goods.
This is an exceptional red with mostly cabernet franc, which gives it impressive pedigree and structure. Dry and muscular, full-bodied and layered. Classic cab franc. 88% cabernet franc, 7% cabernet sauvignon and 5% petit verdot. Try after 2021.
The 2017 Cabernet Franc Blueline Estate is made of 88%Cabernet Franc 7%Cabernet Sauvignon and 5%Petit Verdot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it features expressive red currant jelly, Morello cherries and raspberry leaves notes with a baked plums and dried herbs undercurrent plus a waft of saw dust. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a firm, rugged texture and lively line, finishing with a compelling herbal lift.
