Medium red. Subdued but pure aromas of sappy redcurrant, cherry, dried flowers, leather and mint; the most complex of these '97 Barbarescos. Suave and rich but impressively unevolved for a '97 Barbaresco. Firm acids contribute to the impression of solid structure. Finishes firm and persistent.
