Score 88-89/100 · Drink 1998-2002, Pierre Rovani, Aug 1998

This wine exhibits a nose of violets and sugar-coated blueberries, followed by a structured, masculine, full-bodied, firm, and muscular personality. This rich and fruit-packed wine appears to have an oaky tannin problem. My instincts suggest that with cellaring it may or may not be absorbed by this offering's dense fruit. Time will tell. Try it in 2002. Importer: Martine's Wines, Inc., San Rafael, CA; tel (415) 485-1800.
