Tasting notes
The 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Forêts is also a fine success, mingling notes of citrus, orchard and stone fruits with hints of buttery pastry and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise, with bright acids and a long, mineral finish, its depth and amplitude transcend the limitations of the vintage.

From an enclave in Montmains. High alcohol! Less frank on the nose than the Durup Les Valéry. Positively rich and exotic! I'm not sure this is what Chablis lovers seek? Its impact is all on the front palate and then it rather fades away. Very much at one (opulent, dramatic) end of the Chablis spectrum. Acidity is relatively low. (JR)
Cask sample. Very transparent and lifted. Real aerienne quality! Well done. Almost painful to taste, it’s so crystalline. Just my sort of Chablis. With a brief honeyed note on the front palate as a nod to the vintage. GV (JR)
The 2018 Chablis Forets 1er Cru is a very complete wine, even in the early going. Powerful and ample, the Forets offers notable breadth as well as detail. It is another super-expressive Chablis in this range from Moreau-Naudet.
