Score 90/100 · Drink 2000, Robert Parker, Aug 1994

Last Tasted 10/93 With a youthful ruby/purple color and a reticent bouquet of cassis, this full-bodied, highly concentrated, tannic wine is only slightly more evolved than a barrel sample. The high rating reflects its richness, purity, and potential rather than its current state of drinkability. It needs 5-6 more years of cellaring. I hope my high praise is rewarded with more complexity.
