Purplish crimson. Warm, toasty nose and no perceptible tannin. Not much concentration but a 'pleasant' sweetish claret that's now ready with more than a hint of green. (JR)

Red-ruby. Cherry, spices, violet, minerals and mocha on the nose. Densely packed, broad and dry, but with a distinctly juicy quality to the cherry and chocolate flavors. Finishes quite firm, with substantial dusty tannins. Plenty of extract here. This wine was taken to a higher level with this vintage.

Good full ruby-red. Subdued but nuanced aromas of raspberry jam, orange peel, minerals, coffee and leather. Intensely flavored but youthfully unevolved; quite concentrated but tight and brooding. Less broad than the 2005 but strong for the year. Finishes with very suave tannins and subtle persistence.

(75% cabernet franc, from vines next to Angelus) Bright ruby-red. Aromas of crushed berries, violet and sexy oak. Suave, dense and lush, with concentrated flavors of kirsch, dark berries and dark chocolate, nicely lifted by a floral element. Conveys a strong impression of extract. A very vibrant wine that finishes quite long, with big, rich tannins.
