Score 96/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Sep 2015
The 1990 Cote Rotie shows the warmth and generosity of the vintage and offers fabulous sweetness in its gamy, peppery, olive and sweet, dark, fruit-scented bouquet. Full-bodied, voluptuous and seamless, this beauty fills the mouth with fruit, has no hard edges, low acidity and is drinking brilliantly today. Jean-Paul compared this to the '00, although I think the '90 has more depth and concentration.

Mushroom, earth, bracken, black fruit still intact. Dark chocolate character and that wonderful musty evolution. Smoked meat and pepper. Just sublime. (RH)
