Tasting notes
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux 1er Cru contains 30-40% whole bunches (pédicelles) from 60-80 years old vines. This is very mineral-driven on the nose, very transparent and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fresh and quite saline. A little attenuation towards the finish with modest length. Enjoy over the next 10-12 years.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Champeaux opens in the glass with aromas of sweet berries and plums mingled with orange rind and grilled squab. Medium to full-bodied, rich and broad-shouldered, with a concentrated core of fruit and powdery structuring tannins, it's one of the more muscular wines in the range.
About the producer

This estate, today with Arnaud Mortet at the helm, makes some of Gevrey-Chambertin’s finest wines. Working with 16 hectares, as well as a few négociant parcels, this property makes perfumed and chiselled Pinot Noir.
