Score 88-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2018

(these old vines produced a normal crop in 2016): Bright red-ruby. Distinctly Vosne-like aromas of blackberry, blueberry and licorice. Then surprisingly supple, sweet and open-knit in the mouth, with its dark berry and licorice flavors conveying good but not exceptional concentration. The tannins are firm but not hard, with the finish displaying good saline persistence.
