Score 93/100 · Drink 2003-2010, Robert Parker, Dec 2003

The finest red wine offering in this portfolio is the 2001 Pinot Noir One Acre Vineyard. Full-bodied and voluptuously-textured, it is a luscious expression of this varietal, offering notes of plums, raspberries, strawberry jam, game, sweet earth, and spice. This velvety-textured, full-bodied effort possesses great fruit, purity, and a delicious, full-flavored finish. Readers should think of it as a Volnay premier cru. It will provide immense pleasure over the next 6-7 years. Tel. (707) 963-4762; Fax (707) 963-7332

Very good full red. Deep, ripe aromas of strawberry, raspberry, smoke and earth, nicely lifted by a nutmeg spiciness. Fat and full; rich, sweet and chewy, with good dimension and palate presence. Plenty of plummy red fruits here. Finishes with ripe, smooth tannins and very good length.
