Score 94-96/100 · Drink 2026-2048, Neal Martin, Jan 2023
The 2021 Richebourg Grand Cru is afforded time to open. It rewards you with intense black plum and raspberry fruit, orange pith, hints of brown spices and a touch of oyster shell. It has a laser-like focus. The palate is medium-bodied with quite strict tannins, slightly tarry black fruit, gentle grip and an almost briny finish. Very fine, but it will need time.

The 2021 Richebourg Grand Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries and sweet berries mingled with hints of rose petals, spices, vine smoke and toasty new oak. Full-bodied, rich and layered, it's fleshy and concentrated, with supple tannins, lively acids and a long, expansive finish.
