Tasting notes
The 2021 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a crystalline bouquet with ethereal red fruit, mashed limestone and hints of crushed violet that blossom in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, fine structured and certainly the most concentrated of Mugneret-Gibourg's cuvées. Hints of kirsch and dark chocolate towards the finish. Just a gorgeous Clos Vougeot to cherish for two decades.

At 23 hectoliters per hectare, the 2021 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru attained the highest yield of the Mugnerets' grands crus. Revealing notes of plums and dark berries mingled with petals, spices and blood orange, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a pure core of fruit and sweet, powdery tannins.
