Good full medium red. Highly aromatic, nuanced nose combines blueberry, blackberry, black pepper and the strong black olive note that typifies classic Cornas. Concentrated and sharply delineated in the mouth, with vibrant flavors of black fruits, licorice, bitter chocolate and black olive. Finishes with fine, horizontal, slightly peppery tannins that really spread out over the palate. This offers superb potential for the vintage.

About the producer

Thierry Allemand
Allemand’s wines set the benchmark for Cornas: expressive Syrahs crafted with uncompromising traditional methods and released in tiny quantities. From the 1980s, he revived abandoned vineyards on Cornas’s steep granite slopes, building his domaine without inherited land or financial support.
