Tasting notes
Dark ruby. The 1998 displays the classic perfumed Cannubi nose and plenty of sweet ripe fruit, and rose petal flavors in a supremely elegant, accessible style, but with more freshness and better balance than the 1997. This wine shows just how outstanding the 1998s can be and is a great choice for near-term drinking.

The full-bodied, seamless 1998 Barolo Cannubi offers the essence of black cherry jam/liqueur along with earth, mineral, new saddle leather, coffee, licorice, tobacco, and new wood. It saturates the mouth without any sense of heaviness. Drink this full throttle, elegant, pure, classic Barolo over the next 12-15 years.
