Score 91/100 · Drink 2003-2009, Robert Parker, Feb 2005

A limited production cuvee, the deep ruby-colored 2002 Pinot Noir One Acre Vineyard exhibits a big, rich, flamboyant (atypical for a Ted Lemon effort) nose of white chocolate, black cherries, raspberries, sweet earth, and spice. With a sensual texture, supple tannin, and a silky, long finish, this is the most seductive and hedonistic of the 2002 Pinot Noirs. Tel. (707) 823-9586; Fax (707) 823-9589

Ruby-tinged red, much darker than the Hirsch. Sappy aromas of medicinal black cherry, sassafras, licorice and underbrush. Sweet, fresh and firm in the mouth, with unevolved flavors of black cherry, underbrush and sappy spices. Finishes with dusty, fine tannins and very good length.
