The 2019 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch takes some time in the glass to reveal its dark, floral-laced berry fruits and accents of earth and laurel. The palate surprises, bursting with berry fruits and loads of spicy accents. It has a grainy frame and bright freshness that calls you in for another sip, and it finishes long and loaded with flavor. The 2019 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch is another stellar wine in this range. Crushed red berries, lavender, rose petal, spice, mint and blood orange are some of the many aromas and flavors that develop with a bit of coaxing. The Zio Tony is juicy and ripe, yet also medium-bodied in feel. In the end, that's what impresses most - its balance. Give it a year or two in bottle to shed some of its tannic grip.
