2014 Vice Versa Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard BBS

One of the true first-growth vineyards of Napa is undoubtedly the Dr. Crane Vineyard, and the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Crane Vineyard, which spent 20 months in 100% new French oak, flirts with perfection. Crushed rocks, forest floor, blueberry liqueur and white flowers jump from the glass of this dense bluish/purple wine. The wine has great fruit on the attack, midpalate, and finished magnificently with a good 50-second lingering aftertaste. Tannins are pure as silk, which is so much a hallmark of this vintage.
