Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir MCM 88 is quite aromatic and lifted in this vintage. Crushed flowers, dried herbs, spice, dried cherry, mint and leather all open in the glass. The MCM 88 is strong floral and savory, with a fruit profile that leans into the dried cherry end of the spectrum. I would have preferred to see a bit more freshness and mid-palate depth.

The 2018 Pinot Noir MCM88 is scented of nori, licorice, Earl Grey tea, citrus peel and dried berries. The medium-bodied palate is soft and juicy with delicate expression and a spicy finish. 330 cases produced.
The 2018 Pinot Noir MCM88 comes from the Perry Ranch Vineyard located in the Russian River and was destemmed and brought up in 25-40% new French oak. This complex, nuanced 2018 has gorgeous mulberry and Bing cherry fruits as well as notes of toasted baking spices, dried flowers, and earth. It's not your average Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and is more medium-bodied, has bright acidity, ripe tannins, and a great finish. All of these 2018s from Senses come across as tighter and more structured and are going to blossom with short-term bottle age. This is no exception.
