Tasting notes
A step up, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Los Potreros has a touch more purity and precision. Cassis, graphite, violets, and leafy herb notes all define the bouquet, and it's medium-bodied, with a pure, focused mouthfeel, ripe, fine-grained tannins, and a great finish. It too will keep for at least 15 years. I surprisingly found a few of these latest Pinot Noirs from Foxen to be muddled and overtly earthy. Nevertheless, it’s big lineup of wines and there’s lot to like and choose from.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Los Potreros, a blend from Star Lane and Grimm's Bluff, is one of the most distinctive wines in this range of Bordeaux reds from foxen 7200. Fresh and dynamic in the glass, with tons of energy, the 2019 is exceptionally beautiful. Sweet dark cherry, plum, herbs, tobacco and incense all build effortlessly.
