Tasting notes
(100% tempranillo) Deep ruby color. Sexy dark berry and plum aromas are complemented by pipe tobacco and candied licorice. Plush, sexy dark berry liqueur flavors are supported by velvety tannins and seem to gain flesh with aeration. Very easy to drink, with no rough edges and a strong finishing note of blackberry. Very fresh for a wine from such a hot vintage.

The 2003 Dehesa la Granja offers an attractive bouquet of smoke, mocha, coffee, and blackberry. This is followed by a structured, ripe, and concentrated wine with several years of aging potential. It reveals some of the compression of the hot vintage conditions but should provide pleasure between 2011 and 2023. The Dehesa la Granja wines are part of the Grupo Pesquera and are sourced entirely from estate Tempranillo vineyards planted in 1998. Importer: Classical Wines from Spain, Seattle, WA; tel.
