The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Les Gouttes d'Or mingles aromas of pear and Meyer lemon with hints of toasted almond, white flowers and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise, with lovely depth and mid-palate amplitude, its elegantly fleshy core of fruit is girdled by racy acids.

A pretty top note of honeysuckle can be found on the spicy aromas of white flowers, poached pear and discreet lemon confit wisps. The very rich and caressing, even opulent, medium weight plus flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract while the markedly firm acid spine keeps everything in balance. This too is excellent.
