Tasting notes
The 2020 Fixin Les Crais has turned out beautifully, bursting with aromas of cherries, mulberries, sweet spices and petals. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, ripe tannins and succulent acids, this charming wine will offer a broad drinking window.

The 2020 Fixin Les Crais has a fresh and pure bouquet with dark cherries and crushed violets, quite Marsannay-like in style. The palate is armed with candied red fruit tinged with liquorice, quite powerful and burly in style, though that will calm down with bottle age. Cellar for 3-4 years if you can.
Dense and sweet with lots of acid and tannin underneath. Very youthful. Rather drying on the end at present. Rather demanding now but perhaps that's just ambition? Grainy texture. (JR)
Cold soak, 30% whole clusters, pigeage at end of fermentation only. 12 months in oak, 20% new. Tank sample. This has immediately deeper flavours, with sophisticated, raspberry fruit, complexed by a little briary rusticity. (MH)
