Tasting notes
Deep ruby. Powerful, highly perfumed dark berry, cherry liqueur and licorice scents, along with hints of cola and musky earth. Sweet, penetrating and focused on the palate, offering concentrated blackberry, floral pastille and succulent herb flavors that become nervier as the wine opens up. Plays richness and power off elegance with a smooth hand and finishes very long and sweet, displaying firming tannins and a sexy floral nuance.

Bottled the last week of October, the 2015 Moulin-à-Vent Vieilles Vignes offers clean, ripe black cherry and blackcurrant scents on the nose, perhaps requiring just a little more delineation. The palate is ripe and a little heady with plush black fruit laced with spice, although I would be seeking more joie-de-vivre and more red fruit than black towards the finish.
