Tasting notes
Quite a fragrant wine for this appellation, which majors in earthy power. Bold sour-cherry and blackberry fruit on the rather generous palate, a well crafted, solid base of tannins underling all the fruit. The two sides of the wine neatly interwoven on the positively firm finish. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a very pure bouquet with dark cherries and blueberry, almost Chambolle-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very good weight, fine grip towards the structured finish. Very fine.
Velvety and enveloping, the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is a medium to full-bodied, ample and succulent wine evocative of wild berries, plums, sweet spices, raw cocoa and forest floor. It's the most charming and immediate of these communal reds.
