The 2019 Petite Syrah Pesenti Vineyard is fabulous. Inky, deep and massively constituted, the Pesenti expresses all of the natural intensity of Paso Robles. Crème de cassis, lavender, cloves, pine and chocolate infuse the 2019 with layers of sheer deliciousness. This extroverted, full-throttle Petite is dazzling from start to finish.

Deep ruby-purple in color, the 2019 Petite Syrah Pesenti Vineyard offers fresh blackcurrant and blueberry fruit on the nose with touches of earth, charcuterie and dried flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant touch of chew and lots of fresh uplift on the finish. 700 cases were made.
The 2019 Petite Syrah Pesenti Vineyard offers a striking interplay of dark Petite flavors and cooling, bright acids. Inky dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, lavender, liquified rocks and whole range of intense mineral/savory undertones build in the glass. Interestingly, in the 2019, the Napa Petites have more acid than the Paso wines, but the Pesenti is a very good example of how what appears on paper does not always translate to sensory perception.
