Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2008

Deep red-ruby. Wild aromas of raspberry liqueur, coffee, fig and Iberico ham. Supple, fat and sweet; not as delineated as Clavelier's best premier crus but harmonious and not a bit heavy for all its volume. Finishes with supple tannins and lovely lingering sweetness. The yield here was just 27 hectoliters per hectare, according to Clavelier. Impressive and built to age.
