The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Village is the most reserved of the three communal bottlings, unwinding to reveal aromas of plums, baking spices and potpourri, followed by a medium-bodied palate with good depth at the core and powdery structuring tannins.

30% new oak. Cask sample. Mid-pale ruby. Soft red fruit, raspberry, loganberry and a touch of cassis. Gentle profile with very soft, charming personality – moderate, crisp acidity and a certain savoury depth to the palate. Tannins seem quite ripe and imposing, if veiled under powdery chalk. (MH)
