2019 A. Rafanelli Cabernet Sauvignon Unfiltered**

8% Merlot. Harvested from 27 September to 9 October, at 24 to 25 Brix. Production: 3,000 cases. pH 3.68, TA 6.7 g/l. Tasted blind. Deep ruby in colour. Layered with ripe and tart blackberry, black plum, a subtle, herbal mintiness, crushed gravel and dried riverbed. Savoury and nuanced, with elevated acidity and rounded tannins. A bit lighter-bodied than the nose would suggest. Spice-tinged finish. Very pretty. (SCJ)
