Score 87-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2007

Medium red. Slightly cooler on the nose, with notes of strawberry, flowers and minerals. Shows a bit more shape and grip in the mouth; comes across as less evolved, with a more angular minerality and firmer tannic spine. These 70-year-old vines produced just 27 hectoliters per hectare, said Clavelier, who harvested them five days later than Les Hauts de Beaux Monts.
