Hint of cheesiness on the nose. Bright, rather sharp fruit from a slightly ungenerous vintage. But there is some development. (JR)

Good medium red. Red fruits, smoked meat (Serrano ham?) and sexy oak on the nose, lifted by a floral topnote. Big, lush, fine-grained and sweet; opulent and harmonious wine with the fat to enrobe its substantial chewy tannins. Finishes taut but this is much less austere than I would have expected from this vineyard in this vintage. Clavelier actually compared it in style to his 2007.
