Tasting notes
The 2000 Suduiraut has a simple, enervated bouquet that perhaps does not show the grey rot as much as it did several years ago. The palate is Aszú-like on the entry with moderate acidity, waxy in texture but far too one-dimensional and slightly volatile on the finish. 115gm/L residual sugar. Tasted at the Suduiraut vertical at the château.

Notes of orange and apricot jam emerge from the elegant, medium gold-colored 2000. The wine shows good ripeness, medium to full body, plenty of sweetness, and more character and soul than most 2000 Sauternes. An excellent effort. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020.
