Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast has a medium ruby color and layered, broody scents of boysenberries, licorice, blood orange, red berries and floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate is plush and silky with juicy fruits that linger through the finish.

The appellation 2018 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast offers a more smoky, earthy bouquet of black fruits, licorice, gravelly earth, and spring flowers. Rich and medium to full-bodied, it has loads of fruit, some chewy tannins, and a good finish. It’s another terrific value, and with 750 cases made, you should be able to find a bottle or two.
The Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is quite a powerful wine in 2018. Once again, the Sonoma Coast Pinot overachieves, in 2018 even moreso than normal. Black cherry, plum, spice, leather, licorice and menthol add to a real feeling of gravitas. This serious, dense Pinot is just lights-out, and shows how tremendously appealing the vintage is, even among appellation-level wines.
