Tasting notes
The 2016 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard is brighter and more perfumed than the Rattlesnake Ridge higher up the slope, exhibiting a lovely bouquet of burnt sage, dried herbs, spring flowers and rich dark fruit. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, firm and richly structured—more Howell Mountain than Zinfandel—with a long, chewy and flavorful finish.

A rich, explosive wine, the 2016 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard dazzles from start to finish. Inky blue/purplish fruit, menthol, lavender, licorice and violet infuse this unctuous, powerful Zinfandel. In 2016, the Dragon exudes class in every way. Creamy, silky tannins add to the wine's considerable appeal. This is an especially sensual, mountain Zinfandel full of mystery and allure. What a wine!
