Tasting notes
From a 3.5-acre vineyard in St. Helena farmed by Jim Barbour, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Cemetery Vineyard delivers delicate herbal notes, black cherries and vanilla shadings. Made by Thomas Rivers Brown, it's 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 85% new French oak, but it doesn't seem overly oaky, being medium to full-bodied, with a tight, firm structure, while remaining balanced, long and mouthwatering on the finish.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Cemetery Vineyard is laced with expressive floral notes, red berry fruit, mint and blood orange. Pretty floral aromatics complement the super-ripe red fruit in this decidedly potent Cabernet from Caterwaul.
Pure perfection in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Cemetery Vineyard comes from a tiny, 3.5-acre vineyard located between Las Piedras and Capella. It reminds me of a great vintage of Haut-Brion with its smoked earth, tobacco leaf, iron, black olive, and darker, earthy fruits. Full-bodied on the palate, it's a wine that builds slowly with time in the glass and has a layered, multi-dimensional texture, incredible tannins, a great mid-palate, and a finish that won't quit.
