Tasting notes
Light gold. A strikingly complex bouquet displays scents of wet stone, iodine, pear, lemon rind and smoked meat. Tightly wound, mineral-driven citrus and orchard fruit flavors completely stain the palate, picking up exotic floral and spice notes with air. The finish resonates with citrus fruit, stones and white flowers and refuses to let up. The '05 version of this was like a Montrachet while this one is a dead-ringer for Chevalier-Montrachet.

About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
