The 2017 Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard is a textbook wine from this site. Tropical fruit, exotic white flowers and orchard fruit are some of the notes that build in this super-expressive, resonant Chardonnay from Littorai. This is quintessential Charles Heintz Chardonnay.

Such attractive lemon and yellow grapefruit with gently pithy notes, as well as wet stones. Impressive purity and floral-perfumed allure. The palate has length, finesse and density. Elegant fruit, in the lemon and white-peach zone, and a fresh, sustained finish. Drink now.

Pale gold. Much rounder and riper on the nose than the Thieriot Chardonnay 2017. Nicely balanced but with the merest hint of pineapple. Good grip on the end and real vitality. Though for this money I could get a bottle of a favourite white burgundy, or two. Good persistence. (JR)
