Score 96/100 · Drink 2030-2045, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Aug 2025

The 2023 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard has a compelling savoriness. Flint, oolong tea and mushrooms complement a core of red and black cherry fruit. The medium-bodied palate is impressively concentrated, and its new oak spice and flinty character are well integrated. It has a powerful yet refined tannic structure, vibrant acidity and a very long finish. It should be long lived in the cellar. 290 cases were made.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard is a heady, boisterous wine. A blast of dark cherry/plum fruit, rose petal, blood orange and spice makes a strong first impression. There's gorgeous depth in the glass, along with striking balance. Calera clone yielded a striking, world-class Pinot Noir endowed with remarkable depth and purity. The 50% new oak is so well matched.
