Mid cherry. Smells a little more youthful than the A & Arlaud Oka 2017. Richer and more spicy, a touch more oaky but subtly so. Still quite a firm grip on the finish so needs food but the balance is just right. (JH)

The 2017 Bourgogne Roncevie comes from vines located in Gevrey and this cru named after the lieu-dit . It has a lovely, lilting bouquet of wild strawberry and cranberry. The palate is sharp and quite tart on the entry. There is good depth here, though the scrawny finish needs more flesh.
