The 2021 Doisy-Daëne L'Extravagant is phenomenally great. It offers up a head-spinning mélange of grilled pineapple, ginger, tangerine oil, candied orange peel and cloves. Rich and unctuous, but not at all heavy, L'Extravagant is seriously impressive. It captures all of the intensity of the year and yet retains terrific energy. The 2021 is simply dazzling from start to finish.

About the producer
This Second Growth estate has origins dating back to the late 1800s. It is, however, under the ownership of the Dubourdieu family – who took over the Barsac property in 1924 – that Ch. Doisy-Daëne truly flourished.
