Creamy, generous fruit with melon and peach flavour. Far fruitier than many a Bourgogne – thanks to the vintage, no doubt, but there is clearly good quality raw material in here, which shows on the length too. (RH)

The 2017 Bourgogne Rouge had been transferred into the blending tank for one week. Despite a touch of reduction on the nose, there is pleasant, brambly red fruit here. The palate is well balanced, offering crunchy cranberry and raspberry fruit and a dash of spice on the finish. Fine.
