Tasting notes
The flower and nut-scented 1999 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres (Domaine) is medium to full-bodied, deep, and broad. Ripe pears, candied apples, and hints of mint can be discerned in this well-ripened, rich, yet focused offering. It is beautifully rendered, has excellent to outstanding concentration, as well as an exemplary finish. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2011. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; (212) 490-9300.

Reticent aromas of peach, flowers and grilled nuts. Silky and dense but quite dry, even austere, with a cyanic apple pit quality. This has solid structure but is not yet displaying its personality.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
