Tasting notes
Full screwcapped bottle 1,450 g. 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Cinsault. Cold-soaked, destemmed and macerated for 5–6 hours with each grape variety fermented separately in stainless-steel tanks. The wine then rested on its lees in a closed tank for 1 week and then aged in stainless-steel tank for 2–3 weeks before bottling. Winemaker Nicolas Quiles. TA 6 g/l, pH 3, RS 2 g/l. Available in up to 100 shops. Another rosé which has taken subtlety to extremes. To the extent that there is not a lot to comment on here. Closed on the nose but does have purity on the palate (and enough acidity). But there is not a lot else going on. For £18 I would expect something more distinctive. (AWH)

Full bottle 1,423 g. 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Cinsault. A well-composed, modulated wine with just enough raspberry-jujube sweetie to keep it playful and a dusty brush of dried lavender and sage. Soft, rhubarb acidity. Texture like the still waters of a lake. If you asked AI to produce the perfect Provence wine, it would not be able to do it better than AIX! (TC)
