Score 92/100 · Drink 2015-2027, Robert Parker, Jun 2015

Whitehall Lane’s 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Leonardini Vineyard from St. Helena is a fuller-throttle, deep purple wine, that is approaching full maturity, but is more backward and concentrated than the Reserve. It is youthful and on a slower evolutionary track. It is certainly approachable, but the abundant creme de cassis, blackberry fruit, and touches of vanilla and spice are youthfully vigorous and exuberant. This impressively pure, concentrated and layered wine should drink well for another 10-12 years.
