The 2014 Chablis-Villages is pale silver in color. The bouquet seems to have mellowed since I last tasted it, offering enticing white peach, pressed flower and chai tea scents, though unsurprisingly given its status, it doesn't provide riveting complexity. The palate is well balanced with impressive depth; again, no frills, just a Chablis that gets straight to the point. You could argue that it misses a little nerve on the finish, so I would drink up over the next 4–5 years. Tasted at Les Hostellerie des Clos in Chablis.

Raveneau’s 2014 Chablis offers tremendous quality and pedigree for a village-level wine. As is so often the case, the 2014 really benefits from air, which allows all of its nuance to come through. Penetrating notes of citrus, dried herb, almond and crushed flowers grace this exquisite, vibrant Chablis. The 2014 conveys serious intensity at its level, with no excess weight.

The 2014 Chablis Villages from Domaine Raveneau is excellent, offering up a classy bouquet of lemon oil, green apple, beeswax and subtle almond paste. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and bright, with good depth at the core and a tangy, saline finish. Like many 2014s, this is beginning to shut down, and while it's still delicious, I'd be inclined to forget remaining bottles for 3 or 4 years.

Pale yellow-green. Captivating aromas of lime, spearmint, crushed herbs, ginger and white pepper; tasted following the 2013s, this wine was already at a higher level of Chablis consciousness. Dense, stylish and light on its feet, communicating an impression of energy to its intense lime and crushed herb flavors. Finishes fresh, elegant and lone. A superb village wine.
