Tasting notes
I loved the 2018 Chardonnay from winemaker Michael Browne. This is pure California gold with its deep, unctuous bouquet of ripe orchard fruits, toasted bread, honeysuckle, caramelized citrus, and floral nuances. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, it has fabulous mid-palate depth and concentration, integrated acidity, and a blockbuster of a finish. It's not for those looking for lightweight aromas and flavors, yet it nevertheless is weightless and such a joy to drink. It should keep for 4-5 years, if not longer.

The 2018 Chardonnay Chev has lush aromas of white peaches and quince, salted almonds and beeswax, with a mineral streak and loads of floral perfume. The palate is medium-bodied and gently rounded with opposing mineral character and bright freshness. It finishes very long and flavorful. 275 cases were made.
The 2018 Chardonnay from Michael Browne's Chev label is attractive and full of energy. Lemon confit, chamomile, dried flowers and mint are finely knit together. The 2018 is maybe just a touch lean, but it offers fine persistence and plenty of mineral-drenched vibrancy. Give it another 6-12 months in bottle.
