Centenarian Tempranillo dry-farmed bushvines, yielding 20 hl/ha at 900 m, therefore a high diurnal temperature variation, ranging from 36 ºC in the day and 12 ºC at night. Sandy soil with small clay pebbles. No spraying – dry and healthy climate. Fermented in steel tanks at 26 ºC. No yeast added. 14.5%. 18 months in fine-grained Burgundy barrels (60% new). 5-6 years in bottle. TA 4.63 g/l, RS 1.56 g/l.  Very dark with black core. Very sweet, very ripe and pure dark fruit. Intense and so sweet fruited, red fruit, silky. But there's a thickness to the silk. Rounded and very fresh and elegant. Still youthful. Sweet oak spice. (JH)
