Score 89/100 · Drink 2023-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Mar 2023

The 2019 Little Giant Cabernet Sauvignon Lamonica emanates from a Silverado Trail-side vineyard just south of Stags Leap District planted to Clone 337. After 25 months in 70% new French oak, it offers up scents of black cherry, cassis and a gently resiny, medicinal component (although it seems less pronounced here than in the winery's Frediani Vineyards Merlot). Medium to full-bodied and moderately concentrated, with some soft, dusty tannins on the finish, this Cab may be enjoyed now and over the rest of the decade.
