Tasting notes
The 2023 Meursault Clos de la Barre was showing very well, delivering aromas of pear and sweet citrus fruits mingled with white flowers and toasted almonds. Medium to full-bodied, dense and layered, it's satiny and textural, with a structured mid-palate and a penetrating finish. As ever, it's built to reward some bottle age.

Cask sample. Mid lemon. Apple, peach, citrus. Quite high-toned with zesty, crisp acidity. Some flesh with a sappy finish. Good. (MH)
The 2023 Meursault Clos de la Barre has an attractive nose with apple blossom and light peachy scents, notes of beeswax emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a waxy opening and what seems like a little more extract—more solids toward the finish, with a dash of pepper on the aftertaste. Fine.
